Welcome to the part 2 which will continue sharing tips for keeping hand smocked dresses cleaning and looking new always. In the previous part, I pointed out two needed things that are having basic information of baby girl’s hand smocked dresses and pre-treating brand new hand smocked dresses. In this part, I will continue giving some tips for laundry in order to keep hand smocked dresses more long-lasting. Keep following!

Washing hand smocked dresses

For kid clothes in general and hand smocked clothes in particular, hand washing is highly recommended. As introducing in the part 1, smocked dresses are one of the handmade things. Therefore, they need to have a proper treat. Hand washing is flexible. Because with hand washing, you can adjust forces on the clothes freely as your wish, and focus on stain or dirty place easily. Especially if you want to remove hard core stains, there is no better way than washing by hand. Moreover, detergent for washing hand smocked dresses should be the special type. Nowadays, there are many types of baby specialized detergents in local markets. If you still worry about using detergent for your little girl’s dresses, you can totally use baby shampoo or washing cream instead. Those products are safe for baby’s sensitive skin. Rinse the clothes many times in clean water and make sure detergents are removed completely from the clothes.

Drying hand smocked dresses

Do not think that drying clothes after washing is something which you don’t need to care for. If you want to keep your daughter’s hand smocked dresses more long-wearing, then it should be necessary to take a note on the drying activity. Some mothers, who want to save the time and not to lose much energy, chose drying wet clothes by washing machine. However, they might not know that the strength washing machine created has bad effects on clothing. It can make your clothes be worn out, loose original forms and fade colors. Therefore, drying by your own hands is better. If you are a strongly careful mother, you can stretch the wet smocked dress on a well absorbent flat like a bath towel, and dry it by wringing indirectly through the towel. After that, hang the wrung hand smocked dresses out, and let them dry naturally under the sunshine.

In conclusion, I have continued sharing two more tips on washing and drying hand smocked dresses in order to keep them looking new all the time. If you find those shares are useful or if you have any other tips, do not hesitate to let me know. I want to hear your voice also.
