As you know, messy eating, accidents and outdoor play cause stains and odor on baby clothes. So they require frequent washing. Otherwise, babies’ skin is so sensitive since it is prone to irritation and flaking. It is necessary to wash baby clothing properly. This article will give you some instruction to wash your baby’s clothes.

Step 1: Before you wash anything, read the washing instruction on the label.

Remember notes about washing and drying temperature or other special instructions. For example, sleepwear with flame retardant fabric needs special precautions to preserve the clothing's flame retardant properties.

Step 2: Next sort the baby clothes you want to wash

You need to base on color of the clothes (white, light and dark color) to divide them into small loads. With flame retardant clothes, keep them in their own loads to make special instructions. You also need to sort kid clothes by dividing these color-separated loads into smaller loads that are based on temperature. And always separate cloth diapers into their own load. Never mix any of your babies' clothes with dirty cloth diapers.

Step 3: Using gentle products that are labeled to treat stains since they are safe for baby clothing and baby’s sensitive skin.

Sticks, soaks and pretreatment sprays are the good choices for you, you can choose one of them. Follow the treatment as instructed. And you need to make sure the suggested amount of time soaks the children clothes.

Step 4: Set the water used for washing as the temperature recommended on the labels of the loads of clothing, then fill the washer with water.

Cloth diaper should be washed in hot water to improve sanitation. You should use cold or warm water to wash flame retardant garments since it can preserve their flame retardant features. If garments don’t have labels, use warm water to wash them.

In the next part, I will give you the last instructions to wash baby clothes. Please wait and enjoy it!

Step 5: Measure the correct amount based on the size of the load, then add fragrance and chemical- free detergent to the water

Baby-friendly detergents are recommended for all mothers since they are safe for babies' sensitive skin as well as friendly for many fabrics.

I will share with you a way to make your own baby-friendly detergent. Combine 1/2 cup washing soda, 1 cup castile soap flakes and 1/2 cup borax. Then scoop 1 cup of this mixture into the washer. Because the oils making up the castile soap can break down the flame retardant fibers, don’t use homemade detergents.

Step 6:  Scatter a load of clothes into the washer, than submerge garments into water and make sure that weight is balanced throughout the washer. Note to not overfill the washer.

Step 7: The next step is closing the washer and allowing the clothes to run through a normal cycle.

Step 8:  Set the washer to run these clothes through a second rinse cycle, which can make sure all soaps and detergents are removed. If you use homemade detergent, add 1 tbsp. white vinegar to the rinse cycle
